Individual cabochons, or cabs, come in both standard shapes like ovals, and one-of-a-kind designer shapes. Some are also rare or unusual types of stones. All cabochons are natural stones and not man-made stone unless otherwise noted, although they may be treated with common and accepted gemstone treatments. I will mark any gemstone treatments when I know of them, but many cut stones are treated as a matter of course, and I have no way to know except to guess by the energy I may feel from them, so I'll do my best with it!

Additional Photo Look at the large photos to see the rich colors in this one! Finding a Melody's Stone in faceted form is incredibly rare. I've had just a couple in my hand at all, and this is one of them. They're wonderful stones, though. I was actually keeping this one to make a piece of jewelry, but it never felt right. Eventually I caught on that this sweet stone wants to go on to someone else to live. Super
Seven, also called Sacred Seven or Melody's Stone, is a combination of 7 different types of minerals including
clear quartz, rutilate, smoky quartz, amethyst,
lepidocrosite, goethite, and cacoxenite. This particular,
powerful combination of minerals is found only in Espirito
de Santo, Brazil, and the mine is now closed, making them
harder and harder to find. |

This is a stunning cab with a veritable landscape on it with beautiful bright purple Sugilite, red bustamite, and black manganese. It is not a doublet and has a natural, raw back side. It has a gorgeous polish on the front. I just love this stone's energy too. Woo! |

Sizes of these cabochons are in millimeters and weights are in carats, both traditional ways to measure cut gemstones. These are designer cut and freeform cabs and are not calibrated to specific sizes/shapes.
