Top 10 Crystal Books

I've been asked many times if I've written a book on crystals and stones. The answer is still, "Not yet, but I might some day." So until some day comes, here's a list of some of my favorite crystal books. The links go to Barnes and Noble for my affiliate account, but if you prefer, you can just use the ISBN numbers to find the books anywhere.

The Number One bookon crystal properties and crystal healing that I find most helpful for the crystal healer are The Crystal Bible by Judy Hall. ISBN 9781582972404The Crystal Bible is a good general book, with a wide variety of the basic crystal healing stones. Because it has photos, it can be more helpful for people starting out some of the more extensive tomes.

My Number 2 choice is the companion to the Numnber 1 choice:

Crystals and Healing Stones by Judy Hall ISBN 9780760785782has more recent discoveries and additions to round out the complement in the Crystal Bible.

Number Three, close on the heels of the Judy Hall books is Love Is in the Earth - A Kaleidoscope of Crystals Update: :update : The Reference Book Describing the Metaphysical Properties of the Mineral Kingdom
by Melody ISBN: 0962819034
which is often called "The Crystal Bible." It sure has tons of metaphysical and healing information in it. The only downside is that it doesn't have photos of the stones. That doesn't stop it from being a powerful book though. Don't leave home without it! If this book had photos, it would be my number one choice for sure.

I guess Melody heard a lot about not having photos, so she fixed it. These below extend the information from the book above and also gives photos! That brings us to Number Four:
Love Is in the Earth-Mineralogical Pictorial: Treasures of the Earth ISBN: 0962819026

Number Five is a book that I first encountered Dolfyn's crystal info as separate booklets and loved them. I was so excited to see it pulled together in a book! Crystal Wisdom: Spiritual Properties of Crystals and Gemstones by Dolfyn
ISBN: 0929268148

Number Six is Crystal Enlightenment: The Transforming Properties of Crystals and Healing Stones, Vol. 1 by Katrina Raphaell ISBN: 0943358272. Katrina's books on crystals are written in a more prose-y style than a reference book style. Great reading, and tons of information.

Cunningham's Encyclopedia of Crystal, Gem and Metal Magic by Scott Cunningham ISBN: 0875421261 is Number 7 of my favorites, for its particularly Wiccan / pagan approach to crystal magic and crystal healing.

Number Eight is Love Is in the Earth - Kaleidoscopic Pictorial : Supplement A ISBN: 0962819077 and Number Nine is Love Is in the Earth - Kaleidoscopic Pictorial Supplement ZISBN: 0962819050 which are more extensive follow-ups to Melody's Love is in the Earth series, both having photos.

Number 10 is a toss-up between Volumes 2 and 3 of Katrina Raphaell's books. Each has their own merits and I never can decide which I like better.

Listen to the stones tell you their stories. That's the thing I like best about this book, along with the quotations. I also like the information about combinations of stones and their use.
