What is a zeolite?

Zeolites are a family of related minerals, including apophyllite, chabazite, stilbite, heulandite, goosecreekite, laumonite, natrolite and others. More

"Mystical Vision"

These are clusters of apophyllite from India that have both pyramid terminations, and pinacoid terminations that make the tops look cubic. It never ceases to amaze me that these naturally grow so shiny and with pyramid tips. Some have matrix, others are floaters and have none. They range in size from 1.25" at the largest point to 3" at the largest point. The photos are representative examples, just to show you some of the possible formations and colors.

These are clusters of apophyllite and stilbite from India. Most are clear and shiny apophyllite with peach colored stilbite, but colors may vary. Some have matrix, others are floaters and have none.
