Orange Millennium™ is a recent find. It is a form of round crystallized carnelian nodules, only found in the high desert of the U.S. South West. Most are like orange berries in shape, but some are more oblong, with an occasional unusual piece being almost hot dog shaped. I find the energies of Orange Millennium to be great stress relievers. Size is roughly .25 - .5 inch each.

Mexican Opal in Matrix

These are chunks of rough, natural Mexican Opal in matrix. They of course come from Mexico. Mexican Opal is also known as Mexican Fire Opal and Cantera Opal. The only real difference is the amount of opal in relation to the matrix. The larger pieces that are orange-red that are often taken and made into cabochons are called Mexican Fire Opal. The smaller pieces are called Cantera Opal, and are occasionally made into smaller cabochons. When the opal is white to clear, it's called Mexican Water Opal. These specimens run from 1" to 1 3/4" (25mm - 44m) at their largest point. The amount of matrix in each of these specimens will vary widely and each piece will show opal.

Peruvian Pyrite

Peruvian pyrite tends to form in tiny cubic crystals which make up massive, sparkly chunks. Pyrite is, of course, also known as fool's gold and has a goldish-bronzie luster. I had a good friend ask me one time how anyone could possibly mistake pyrite for gold since they don't really look alike. My guess at it was that say 100 or even 50 years ago, gold was not as commonly available as it is now, only the rich had it, so most likely the "common people" had only seen real gold either from a distance or just a couple times in their lifes. That's my guess, and I'm sticking to it ... at least until I can find a more accurate answer! Current stock is approximately 1" (25.4mm) size.

Petrified Wood Rough Chunks

I managed to get hold of a very limited stock of this petrified wood from a private collection. The size of these pieces of fossil petrified wood averages 1.5" (27.4mm) and .5 ounce (13g) with a few being either larger or smaller. While petrified wood isn't in itself hard to find, chunks these size and with such nice coloring is definitely hard to find.

Quantum Quattro Silica™ is a combination of minerals: royal blue shattuckite, robin egg blue chrysacola, forest green dioptase, in smoky quartz with pastel light green malachite. The only known source for Quantum Quattro Silica is from Namibia, and unfortunately it is not being mined and coming out of the country any more. So it's getting harder and harder to get, especially with great color like this. These are really nice chunks, notice the deep rich color that most have. We have had chips but weren't sure what to do with them, so we're now making them available in sets of 5 or 10 in a pouch.
