Genuine Czech Moldavite is the crowning glory of this elegant pendant. Moldavite is a naturak tektite from a meteor splash aeons ago in the Moldau valley of Czechoslovakia. The splash fields have been mined so much that this tektite is becoming more and more rare and expensive. I set this beautiful tektite with .925 sterling silver to set off the deep green color of the moldavite.

This pendant is approximately 2.1" (53.7 mm) long including bail which will accommodate chains up to approximately 5 mm in size. To wear it as a necklace or brooch, you can use it with your favorite chain, or you can add an inexpensive accessory like a bar pin to use it as a brooch, to make it an even more versatile piece of jewelry.

In alignment with the mystical lore associated with the stone, I crafted this piece with the prayer and intent that the wearer be blessed with powerful and beneficial inner journeys.

Moldavite is a tektite and is the only "extraterrestrial" gemstone, which is found only in the Moldau Valley in Czechoslovakia. Lately there have been other green tektites or imitations that are called "moldavite," but only the Czech moldavite is the "real thing." It is associated with the heart and third eye (brow) chakras, as well as the crown chakra. Moldavite is also associated with the Star card of the Tarot.
