Art Glass jewelry is handcrafted of various art and designer glasses such as dichroic glass, fused art glass, Swarovski crystal, "cherry quartz" glass, or glass beads. In the 21st century, glasses are made by individuals as well as companies, and many of the beads and art glass cabochons I use are made by individual glass artisans. This makes them as unique as any stone. And the colors are just delightful!

About dichroic glass: Dichoric glass was originally created for the space and laser industries, and was developed extensively by NASA. The word dichroic means "two colors" because of the two or more colors that the glass reflects and transmits. Each piece of dichroic glass is a unique individual. When combined with individual handcrafted wire-wraps, this makes for a truly one-of-a-kind piece of jewelry.
