Harton, Reiki and Seichim Master/Teacher Energy healing is an alternative healing method, or rather, a collection of alternative methods of helping people heal by sending them universal energy. These methods are done by laying on of hands or by channeling the energy over any distance. While this may sound weird to more traditional people in the West, these methods are based on principles that have been in use in the East and in other forms in the West, for thousands of years. Reiki is spiritually guided universal life force energy. The word Reiki is Japanese in origin and literally means: Rei = universal (in the sense of spiritually guided or from the Divine); ki = life force energy (the same as chi or prana). To "use" Reiki is to channel this energy through one's body to one's self or another for healing purposes. Seichim is "living light energy", also spiritually guided universal life force energy. Reiki and Seichim are different "flavors" or vibrational levels of the Divine energy that makes up the life force of everything in the universe. Neither one is a religion, nor do they require that one be of any particular religious belief. They are easily learned and with practice one will become a more and more potent channel for these energies. Reiki, Seichim and Karuna Reiki® are the others, and are based on the same principles, but with slightly different traditions and methods. I've been a Seichim Master/Teacher since 1994, a Usui and Contemporary Reiki Master/Teacher since 1996 and a Karuna Reiki® Master/Teacher since March 1998. I no longer actively teach any of these methods except on extremely rare occasions, for personal reasons, most of which have to do with putting my energy into my artwork which is my proper path in life, at least as I can see it at this time.
