While the cats are staying with Grandma Cat, she's agreed to give cat updates and news, and occasionally send new photos. So here's the cat news with the latest news at the top.

July 3, 2005: I've taken over! It's me, Sanjee. Now I'm in charge of the cat news and stuff. Ha! Take that you mice, you! From now on the news stuff is gonna be on my blog. Yeah, I got a blog! I'm such a cool technokitty!

June 18, 2005: Hi, it's me, Sanjee the Cat! Grandma Cat said I could write this time. It was fun having Mommy Cat (Robyn!) come to visit. And she brought me rattly mice!!! Well, she let Boni and Mini have one each. But I got most of them! They look lots like this. I got lots of pets and got to sleep on the bed with Mommy while she was here. :) Did Mommy show you my new coffee mug at CafePress? It's got two pictures of me on it! And it talks all about cat toys! You oughta get one cuz I'm so cute. Anyways, I'm sposed to say that me and my furry sisters and my not so furry Grandma Cat are all doing good. We are!

January 1, 2005: All the kitties (and honorary kitties) are doing well. Mini and Boni liked their Christmas treats presents. The anti-hairball Pounce treats seem to be helping Mini's tummy too! Sanjee liked her Christmas present too. She doesn't eat treats (strange!), so she got a toy instead.

December 17, 2004: Mini the Cat meows that she is feeling better. She had her last pill today AND got to take her elizabethan style collar off. She highly approved of getting rid of that thing. She said that it was embarassing and she's awfully glad hardly anyone saw her in it!

December 12, 2004: The latest cat news is in from Virginia. Mini the Cat had to go to the vet yesterday for a rash and falling out fur. Luckily it was nothing more serious than a flea allergy. Grandma Cat is still trying to figure out how she got fleas, though! She suspects that it happened Miss Mini slipped out when Uncle Cat was visiting -- just long enough to nab a few fleas! Mini's got meds and flea stuff and one of those funky elizabethan collars now, though, so she'll be fine in a shake. Sanjee the Cat has decided to hang out with the gang. As Miss Queen Bee, she's been a bit aloof the past year, and has hung out in her (Grandma Cat's) room mostly. Now she's hanging out in her old cat tube in the living room where she can curl up and look out the window.

September 2, 2004: The cats stayed inside for the big flood from Tropical Storm Gaston in Richmond. Who wants to get their fur wet anyways? They say they were a little worried because Grandma Cat was stuck out in it though. They heard there was 14 inches of rain in 5 hours!!! Grandma Cat couldn't get home too easy, but she made it back and everybody at the house is ok. All the kitties slept with Grandma Cat when she got home because they were so glad she was ok.

July 30, 2004: I'm catching up here. I was happy to see the kitties when I was in Virginia earlier this month. Mini has gotten plump! She looks soooooo much better than she did when she was a stray. From the back, she looks so much like Boni Maroni that it's almost impossible to tell them apart except that Mini wiggles her tail when she's content and Boni doesn't. So, calm plump cat with white feet is Mini. hehehe Sanjee is doing good, and is learning that even the teeniest bit of claw sticks to Grandma Cat. So she's being good and not putting her claws out to kneed and stuff so much. Boni is busy just being her sweet self. She didn't even complain that she didn't get any ice cream this trip. hehehe So all the girls are doing good.

6/26/04: Grandma Cat reports that Sanjee and Mini went to see Dr. Z to get their shots and nails done. Grandma Cat had left Sanjee's carrier on the bed, then went to get herself ready. (After all, she doesn't have nice fur she can just fluff and wear!) When she went to find Sanjee to put her in the carrier, Sanjee was nowhere to be found! Grandma Cat looked in the closet, in every room, and even under the bed! Apparently Sanjee got curious as to why Grandma Cat was getting under the bed, because she stuck her head out of the cat carrier to see what was going on. Sanjee was chilling out in the carrier!!! Well that made things easy for Grandma Cat, so she went and got Mini and her carrier and off they went. Dr. Z said that both Sanjee and Mini were doing great. Sanjee had lost a pound -- probably from running up and down the stairs -- the exercise has done her good! Mini has gained a couple of pounds, which is also good, as she was still a bit skinny. Grandma Cat also reports that both girls were very good in the car and at Dr. Z's. Yay kitties!

5/7/04: The latest cat news directly from Grandma Cat. "Boni went to the vet, Dr Z, and got her shots and nails done. She has only gained .2 of a lb. She weighs 11.6 lbs. and weighed 11.4 last year. Boni was her baby doll self --the vet tech said she wished all cats were like Boni. Boni didn't flinch when they trimmed her nails." Good for Boni! I guess eating the ice cream in March didn't make her too fat.

4/20/04: Meet Mississippi Mini, Mini the Cat's twin down South.

4/17/04: The cat news is that Sanjee the Cat approves of Grandma Cat's new rug in her office. Sanjee now hangs out in there on the rug while Grandma Cat is at the computer. This is a big move for Sanjee, who used to only hang out in Grandma Cat's room. Go Sanjee, go!

3/30/04: Newsflash! Sanjee the cat has been spied sleeping under the covers! She hasn't done that since I left Richmond. So apparently Sanjee is finally settling in with Grandma Cat fully. :)

3/12/04: Reports have it that Mini the Cat in Virginia, is having spring fever. She's been chasing Sanjee around the house like crazy. Sanjee won't let her take over, though!

2/1/04: See the new kitty pix! New pix and cat news is on each kitty's page. Sanjee, Boni Maroni, and Mini.

1/21/04: Uncle Cat knows that Sanjee really wants to be the queen of the hill. So he's taken to letting her upstairs in his apartment and locking out the other kitties so Sanjee can lord it over the place. (Or is that lady over it?) Boni and Mini don't mind, they get the rest of the building to themselves! Grandma Cat has triumphed over the evil task of setting up her computer, and promises to send kitty photos soon. Everyone think positive, thankful thoughts for getting kitty pix soon!

1/18/04: Grandma Cat reported that Mini the Cat had a bit of an adventure. Uncle Cat was going outside, so Mini decided to slip out with him. Apparently the outside has changed a lot since Mini became an indoor cat, and she didn't like it much! So she let Uncle Cat escort her back into the house. Everyone is quite pleased that Mini didn't decide to move back outside!

1/10/04: Reports have it that the cats slept their way into the new year. It seems napping takes precedence over partying. The kitties' Great-Uncle Cat (Grandma Cat's brother) is now staying with Grandma Cat and the girls. Uncle Cat is thrilled that Stand-off Sanjee now lets him pet her. Grandma Cat says that she thinks Sanjee and Uncle Cat will get to be good friends. Mini and Boni have been seen galloping up the stairs to Uncle Cat's room and napping there, so they obviously think he's just fine for an uncle.

12/26/03: Sanjee got a shock when she went to say good night to Grandma Cat last night and found someone else in Grandma Cat's bed! A friend of Grandma Cat was staying over and Grandma Cat was sleeping on the sofa. Grandma Cat's friend wasn't sure what Sanjee was trying to tell her, but the startled Sanjee ended up going and finding Grandma Cat after all.

12/19/03: "Mini helped me make the curtains.  She as so curious about the curtains I let her sit on the corner of the table (sit on the material) and watch me. She is being her good lap cat self." And Grandma Cat said that Sanjee is happy with her new cat bed; It fits just right! And Boni has taken over one of the cat hammocks in the living room window. So everyone is doing well. :)
