No, these beads do not make you worry! On the contrary, they help stay calm when dealing with the worries, anxiety and stress that seem to plague many of us daily. So I've renamed them "Comfort Beads". Just run your fingers over the beads, play with them, make shapes with them, and see if it doesn't help you feel comforted! And to boot, each set of worry beads has traditional metaphysical and healing properties lore associate with it.

All of my Comfort Beads sets and bracelets are individually handmade. These beads are also great as prayer beads or meditation beads and are excellent gifts for all occasions. Each set is handmade in the studio from quality materials, and comes in a white gift box lined with cotton.

I got started making these because I wanted to make something for Chuck the Crystal Guy, who unfortunately for me, doesn't wear jewelry of any kind. So it had to be something a man could use, but didn't wear. Since his work can be stressful, I came up with worry beads for him. He's thoroughly tested them out at this point, giving them thorough workouts. In fact, he used them so much that he managed to break the cord I had strung them with! Well that just wouldn't do. So now I string all worry beads with flexible, nylon-coated, braided stainless steel. Since I started using that, they've stayed intact in spite of him! So I'm pretty sure they'll hold up to your "worrier" too! They're great gifts, for yourself or anyone on your list.
